In Del Rio for fury duty and needed something to take to apartment. Found this place on Yelp. They were closing but took our order for pick up. People nice and everything packed up good. Food hot and good. Had spicy chicken soup, hot wings, lemon chicken and fried wontons.
Thai Egg Rolls were super crispy, and the pad kee mao was spicy and and flavorful. Fella in the drive through was friendly too
For a small town like Del Rio I have never gotten a bad meal from Jitra. I love Pat Thai and they make a very good one. Just be careful with the heat. The soups and appetizers always crunchy and good and when I can get a Fresh Roll you bet theirs is very good. I recommend this restaurant.
First time in. I went to lunch with some friends after our golf date. We had lunch here and was pleasantly surprised. The buffet looked amazing, my salad was cold, crunchy and delicious. Our servers were very attentive and quick on drink refills. We'll be back. I plan to bring my hubby here for him to experience.
When in Del Rio, TX and in the mood for Asian cuisine, where do you go? Jitra Thai is a little shack that has accommodated the COVID-19 crowd by having drive-thru only service. I recommend ordering ahead of time and picking up later. I got the Kung Pao Tofu and it delivered a slightly sweet, slightly spicy punch with plenty of crispy vegetables, crunchy peanuts, and lots tofu cubes. I will admit, this is not a gourmet restaurant. But they provide plain, well cooked Asian food in an area where it's not easy to come by. So if you have that eastern craving when you're on the border, try Jitra Thai.
